Make a plastic Model: PT-109 - Part 2

In this part of the tutorial we begin the build of the PT boat. We start with all the underside of the boat.

cut parts from sprue

Cut away parts from the sprue as you need them. It is best to cut them away rather than tear them off. This will prevent distortion or unwanted excess plastic.

Cut sprue off parts

Sand smooth with an emory board

File away any bumbs or inconsistencies with sandpaper, small files or an emory board.

Glue on the parts

Cement the parts on the boat in order by the instructions. We start with the bottom of the boat.

The bottom of the boat is done

The underside of the boat just has a few pieces. The propellors, rudders and exhaust pipes.

Now we can place the boat on the stand it comes with and work on all the various parts that go on the top.

Put the hull of the boat on the stand
