The Gandhi Dioramas

I recently went on a trip to India. It was quite a wonderful trip and if you want to know more about it, see pictures of the Taj Mahal and the castles you can check out the travel section of my website here.

But, here I want to talk a little bit about a serendipitous event that happened to me while roaming around the Gandhi museum.

There were a lot of people at the Gandhi musuem and they were all following a pretty much proscribed path through the museum building. I tend to roam around so I was walking randomly through various rooms and corridors and I stumbled upon a room full of dioramas! Yes, sure did! There was nobody in there so I had the room to myself. It was quite wonderful.

And the room was full of dioramas. They were a series in time and they depicted the major events in Gandhi's life. And they looked a bit like old fashioned television sets. The whole scene was quite enchanting. I loved it and I loved each and every one of them. Anyway, this first picture gives you an overall look at how the dioramas were made.
