Make Elucidator from Sword Art Online - Part 2

This is part 2 of the tutorial on how to Make Elucidator from Sword Art Online.

Part 1 of this tutorial is here

The edges to bevel

Here are the edges that you bevel. (shown as orange lines). You don't have to bevel any of the other edges because they will be covered with another piec of foamboard.

Glue the halves together

Now glue those two sword halves together. Make sure the bevels are away from each other. In other words when glued together you should still see an X on each blade.

Apply glue to edge

Then run a line of glue along each edge of the sword. This will make for a nicer edge and it will protect the inner foam from the paint.

Once the glue is on you can smooth it out with a paper towel or your finger.

Layout template piece on foam board

Now Tape together parts F and G in the template and trace two of that on foam board. This is a smaller piece and will fit easily on any size foam board.

And cut those two pieces out.

X is the spot

Now, put those pieces right onto the sword. One goes on top and one goes underneath. Hold them in place and put an X on each one. This is just like you did for the larger blade pieces. We are going to bevel these too.

Now bevel those two pieces. This picture shows you in orange which edges to bevel. Remember to just bevel the side that has an X on it!

Bevel the side with the x

Ok. Now glue those pieces in place. One on top like you see here and one underneath.

Glue the pieces on

NextLet's continue with the tutorial by adding the details and getting it ready for painting
