Make Sting from the Hobbit out of foamboard - Part 2

In this part of the tutorial we finish making the sword and we paint it.

You can go to part 1 of this tutorial right here

Paint silver

Paint the blade, the guard and the pommel silver. If you don't have silver you can use a light gray.

Glue on the ornamental piece

Glue the ornamental pattern onto the sword. Put one on each side of the sword. This ornamental pattern also adds strength to the sword.

Cut out the ornament pieces

If you haven't done it already you can go ahead and cut out the elven writing patterns.

Glue on the writing piece

Glue that pattern right onto the leaf pattern you had glued on before. Of course, flip the sword over and do this on the other side too.

The guard ornament

Do this same procedure for the elven writing that goes on the guard.

Paint handle brown

All that remains is the handle. So, paint it brown.

Handle detail paint

Then paint the details on the handle and you are done!

Congratulations!!! Have fun slaying Orcs and Goblins!
