Stained Glass Windows in Cathedrals, Castles and Museums

I have been on a journey across America visiting castles and museums. And of course I have seen a lot of amazing stained glass work. I thought it would be great to have some pages showing off this beautiful work.

So here it is; Stained Glass in various buildings across america.

And, if you are curious about my trip across america you can learn more about it here. It also includes a series of youtube videos.

Here is a spectacular stained glass dome in Boldt Castle. On Heart Island on the St. Lawrence River which borders New York State and Canada. I have more about Boldt Castle right here

The Cloisters in New York City is a museum dedicated to the Medieval Period. (It's the only one of it's kind in America). So, of course, it has a whole lot of beautiful stained glass windows. If you are interested in the cloisters I have more about it here.

The cloisters also has some amazing roundels.

This stained glass window is at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. I have a lot more about The MET right here.

This window is at Duke Chapel in Durham North Carolina.

This is another stained glass window at Duke Chapel.

This set of stained glass windows is at the Detroit Institute of Art. I have more about this museum right here: The Detroit Institute of Art.

The first one here is a Heraldic Panel. The second and third are coats of arms. They are all pot metal glass and date from the 1500's.
