The Walmart Cookie Jar Terrarium

This is a wonderful little project made by Shirley and it looks fantastic. You might consider a project like this if you are new to terrarium making.

Because, you can put the lid on it and have a nice closed terrarium system that needs little care. But, if it does need a little water you can easily take the top off.

Here is what Shirley has to say about making it:

I don't know the moss type but I got it a florist shop in Jacksonville, Fl. when I was on vacation. I saw it in a dish garden there and like you the bright green caught my eye right now.  I am thinking it was a bird nest fern from a florist shop in Mason City Iowa and the other plant is a peperomia plant. Oh yeah and a varigated ivy.  The big cookie jar came from WalMart and was $10 and the accent was a little thing I picked up at a thrift shop.  Some day I will add a miniture person when I find one that fits the scene.  I often times use little bone china creatures like fox and deer.

Anchor Hocking 1-Gallon Heritage Hill Jar with Glass Lid

I found this cookie jar on amazon.com It is one gallon. Not sure if it is the same exact one that Shirley has but it is pretty close.
