FrontPage Express Tutorial Part 7: Inserting Hyperlinks
Inserting hyperlinks is very easy but there are two types that you should be aware of:
1. Hyperlinks that go to somewhere else on the internet.
2. Hyperlinks that link to another page on your website.
There is a difference in how you handle these two types of links.
Lets first make a hyperlink to somewhere else on the internet.
1. Type in the name you want to be a hyperlink.
I typed: Storm The Castle.com
2. Click and drag across the words so they are highlighted.
Select 'Insert' from the tool bar
then select 'Hyperlink' from the drop down menu.
3. A pop up window appears. Select the World Wide Web tab
and In the URL field enter the address of the desired page.
I have entered http://www.stormthecastle.com
Now let's link to another page in your website:
1. Type in the name you want to be a hyperlink
I typed: Go to Will's What's New Page
2. Click and drag across the words so they are highlighted.
Select Insert from the tool bar then
select 'Hyperlink' from the drop down menu.
3. A pop up window appears. Select the 'Open Pages' tab
and then select the desired destination page.
If you have not yet created the new page you can
create it and point to it now by selecting the 'New Page' tab.
Now Lets' create multiple pages on our site and link them together.
