Wow! Another bottle of very old Gulval Mead

I got an email from a web visitor who discovered an old bottle of Gulval Mead. This isn't the first email I received like this.

Here is a whole bunch of interesting stuff about several other bottles of Gulval Mead somebody found.

If you can shed some light on this bottle of mead please feel free to email me:

This bottle of mead is in terrific shape and the web visitor has sent us terrific pictures including of the back label which we can clearly read!

Here is what the back label says:

Made according to Original medieval recipes after extensive research into ancient meadcraft. No substitutes or essences are used. The herbs, known int he middle ages as "Gruit" used for the delicate flavouring of the Metheglin' and Hippocras, are a choice blend of twenty-eight kinds.

This bottle should be stored in a horizontal position. Keeping for six months or more before drinking will greatly improve bouquet and falvour. If a deposit should settle the bottle should be carefully decanted before serving.

Mead and sack mead should be served slightly below room temperature; Metheglin at room temperature, Pyment, Hippocras and Melomel slightly above room temperature.

NOT MADE FROM FRUIT. NOT LESS THAN 10.8% OF ALCOHOL BY VOLUME. (OR 18.8% PROOF)
