Classical Guitar Making

I have purchased a book and some of the materials to make my own classical guitar. This is a project I have been wanting to do for a very long time. Keep track of this page and check in on a regular basis to see what kind of progress I am making. I will give you tips and techniques that will help you if you decide you want to make your own classical guitar. It is quite a bit of work but very rewarding and you don't have to be a luthier or a master woodworker to make a beautiful classical guitar.

All that's required are basic woodworking techniques and a minimally equipped shop. Bogdanovich discusses the anatomy of the guitar, sound, choosing an instrument, selecting woods, templates and molds, and preparation. In more than 300 pages of text, he painstakingly lays out the details of construction, from assembling the neck and sides to installing the fingerboard and bridge.
