For me one of the best things about this hobby is the models that you can make for the diorama. Just about every kind of military vehicle ever made has also been made into a model that you can put together and add to your scene. For me the tanks are the best.

A WWI Tadpole Tank Diorama
The Tadpole was a modified Mark IV tank that had an extra long tail mounted to it to increase its trench crossing abilities. This proved unstable, however, and also made it more difficult to turn the tank, so it was abandoned. Very few prototypes were made and none survive today.
