The PVC Trebuchet

This is a PVC trebuchet made by a web visitor (Evan) My thanks go to him for telling us about this project and for sending the pics and information.

This is a great example of how a trebuchet can easily be made from parts found at any home improvement store.

Simply some pvc pipe and a few other items.

A Little bit about making a trebuchet from PVC Piping

Any home improvement store will have just about everything you need including the glue that is typically used for putting the pvc pipes together. Evan used the plans from one of my treb projects and he did a little math to make his larger. Here is what he has to say:

I constructed the trebuchet by dividing the dimensions in half and converting them to feet. It worked out pretty good for launching the 400g cabbage with about a 5 gallon counter weight (I am not sure what that is in pounds). I have attached some pictures of my trebuchet. Thank you for your plans and your help.     Sincerely, Evan

So, if you want to make a good looking trebuchet using pvc is a great idea.
