This was a real treat for me. I really was excited to see this. And for a couple of different reasons. First off it is simply a great tourist spot. And secondly it is the centerpiece of the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind. You might be too young to know that movie. But if you are older in life you probably remember it very well.

In this picture we are up close to it and just entering the national park. Here is a trading post then the actual entrance where you pay a fee. Then there is a short drive up to the parking area.

The next two pictures I took while on the hiking path right at the tower. You get right up on it.
