Will has been to Mexico several times. It was a lot of fun and interesting. This visit happened in August. And you would think that August in Mexico would be brutally hot. But, it wasn't! I guess I got a bit lucky. The weather was comfortable and amazing! |
I love mexico, although I don't adventure far into it. I always stay in the border city where I crossed and I always come back into the states by nightfall. I don't drink so night-life doesn't appeal to me. And my only during the day policy is more of a safety and security issue.
Nonetheless I have never had any trouble in Mexico and my experiences have always been wonderful.
This arch in Tijuana is very reminiscent of the arch in St. Louis. I don't know which one came first. I have pictures of the St. Louis arch here
During my trek around the whole country I saw a VW bus like this several times. They always had a group of twenty-something adventurers inside. It's a thing, an admirable thing. Get a VW bus, get it fixed up, and travel!
But.... every time I saw this the adventurers inside always looked tired and miserable! Sorry to pop the bubble but adventuring around the country this way can be challenging :)
It's a very weird thing but I have returned to Mexico every seventeen years. Just a coincidence I guess but that's the truth. This is my third visit. And every time I buy one simple trinket as a tourist. A little sombrero.
