One of the negative things about living in the modern world, in my opinion, is the growth of chain stores. We have lost so many of those beautiful mom and pop places. But they are still out there and David's Fish market is a good example of this. It still holds to those old fashioned values.

I go here almost every Friday to get a fish and chips -Pretty much year round. And during lent, on a Friday, the line is out the door! They are good fish and chips and they come in both heavy batter or light batter.

They also have other wonderful new england seafoods cooked and given to you hot including clam cakes and clam chowder. Down below I show you the fish and chips I bought. It was, including a 20 ounce Coke, a total of nine dollars. How can you beat that very reasonable price?

These next two pictures are just to give you a sense of what they have here in the fish market. Don't quote me on the prices. Seafood prices vary and change a lot with seasons and other factors. This should just give you a rough idea of prices and products.

Here is the beautiful golden brown fish and chips that I got. It is delicious and if you are not familiar with that little plastic bowl nearest us, that's a portuguese specialty sauce for fish and chips. I don't know what's in it but it has vinegar, bits of onion and a few other spices in it.
