This church/chapel has been around for more than 400 years and while it has been upgraded and repaired over the centuries the original walls from 1610 still remain.

And this church holds the same feeling that many buildings in New Mexico hold.

With buildings in America they are built on the land - but these beautiful pueblo buildings have a different feeling - they feel like they grew up out of the Earth.

They have a bell here in the church. It is no longer in the tower. It is now within the building. And they allow people to ring it! And there is some controversy surrounding this bell. It is disputed whether it was cast in 1356 or 1856.
