Starting up a beehive - Video Series

This is a series of videos that walks you through the first full year of beekeeping. We start at the very beginning of the process by picking up a package of bees. And we follow the hive throughout the year.

 

 

Video 1 Picking up the package of bees and installing them into the hive.

Video 2: Three days later; We do a simple check of the hive to see how they are doing. Are they settling in?

Video 3: 20 Days later; We open the hive and do an inspection. We are looking for signs of growth and that the queen is laying eggs. We look for any signs of trouble and we check the general overall health of the hive.
