A Fantasy Mermaid by a Guest Artist

This drawing was done by guest artist David Dodson and he says that does a lot of his artwork with mechanical pencils. He believes that he did this drawing with a basic HB grade pencil. About the pose and the model. He likes to find pictures of models in the pose that he is looking for and bases his drawing on that. This is a great way to improve your art skill. You should start a collection of interesting pictures so you have resources for drawing.
