The Cider Gum Eucalyptus otherwise known as Eucalyptus Gunii survives in temperatures ranging from 15F to 50F. It can grow up to 40ft and is native to Australia. This a tree commonly used in bonsai that we will be using for our own project. In the following months we will add information about the growing process including when they are planted and some of the techniques we will be experimenting with.

Cider Gum Eucalyptus: These seeds are very tiny. The label doesn't specify sowing depth so they went just under the surface of the soil They do need to be watered sparingly and they do need generous direct sunlight so they go right under the gro light.

We soaked the seeds in water for 24 hours before sowing them. The instructions you can see on the label are:

Place the seed tray in a location that receives direct sunlight between 68 and 75 degrees. Germination in 7-14 days, then keep shaded and water sparingly.

Well, our Cider gum Eucalyptus have germinated. It took 40 days for the first one to sprout. Here is a picture:
