Make the Wonder Woman Sword
This is a step by step tutorial showing you how to make the Wonder Woman Sword (The God Killer). And I give you the template. You just need a few basic supplies and I have figured it out so you only need a single sheet of foamboard.

This is an easy project to make. And you just need a few materials. You can put a lot of individuality in this project by trying or adding different details. It is a fun sword that is pretty strong and the way we build it allows us to make a pretty good sized sword while still only using a single sheet of foamboard. (If you need foamboard I have a link to it on amazon at the bottom of the page.)
Also in this tutorial I am going to show you what type of paint I used to get a pretty good silver and gold look on the sword. Silver and gold acrylic paints are pretty tricky and a bit weak. But this type of paint is more vibrant and crisp.

Let's Get Started
Print up the template. It has everything you need. It is just three pages and it has two handle pieces and three blade pieces.
Cut out all the template pieces. And to make nice crisp blade cuts you should use a hobby knife and a ruler. Your sword will look better.
Tape the three blade pieces together like this. Take your time and line up the edges as best you can. And you can even trim with scissors a little bit to get it all nice and straight.
Use that template and trace it twice onto foamboard. Be frugal with your placement of the template on the foamboard. Don't leave a lot of scrap space. We need the remaining space for the rest of the sword pieces. You will see what I mean in a moment.
You have cut two handle pieces out of the template. Trace those onto the foamboard. Trace two of each template.
You end up with six pieces drawn out.
Now go ahead and cut out those six pieces. And just like we did with the template you can also use a knife and straight edge to cut the straight portions of the blade. This will make for a crisp looking sword.
Will's Tip on Cutting Foam board: Don't try to cut all the way through it in one swipe. Use a really sharp blade and make three passes. the first pass just cuts the top layer of paper. Second pass cuts the foam and the third pass cuts through the bottom layer of foam.

If you are looking for high quality, archive quality or you are looking for a backing for photographs you should use an acid free foam board It is more expensive per sheet though.
