The Katana and the Watermelon

In a previous project I showed you how to make a japanese samurai sword Katana. The question is whether or not it is very strong. It takes three days to make that cardboard Katana because we borrow a little bit from the japanese steel masters in a way. They use two different types of steel, one that is very rigid and one that is flexible. This combination of two steels gives the Katana its amazing resiliency in that it is strong yet flexible.

We do the same thing with the cardboard katana and if you want to make one yourself I have a video and tutorial on how to do it here. How to Make a cardboard Katana
