How this book came about is an interesting story.

In 2023 I took a pilgrimage to Europe. I spent ten weeks backpacking across three countries. You can adventure along with me, learn more about the actual trip here.

I didn't backpack those complete 1,500 miles. While in Italy and France I took buses, subways, trains, and public transportation.

Once I got to the border between France and Spain that is where the actual walking part of my pilgrimage started. I walked the 500 mile route commonly referred to as The Way of Saint James.

I thought I was doing all this for my own reasons. I always wanted to walk a pilgrimage, and I always wanted to see Rome. I also have an affectation for southern France. So it all seemed to make sense to me.

But...

While I thought I did this all for my own reasons; I was wrong. I didn't choose the piilgrimage. It chose me. It had a gift for me. And that gift was this book.

So, the book is now written. The manuscript is complete and I am embarking on the next stage in the process - getting it published. Wish me luck!
