Quail Eggs

I didn't expect anything other than the expected "egg" taste. And it's true, they are pretty much the same as chicken eggs, only smaller.

But, it was an interesting experience. Let's try some quail eggs!

I followed the instructions that came with them.

On the label:

Preparation:

  • Boil eggs for 3 minutes
  • Drain water
  • Keep eggs inside the pan and shake pan strongly to crack the eggshells.
  • Peel shells

Serving suggestion:

Serve as a hors d'oeuvres, garnish, accompaniments for salads or in place of chicken eggs.

To summarize my experience with these eggs I would say that they are fun. They were fast and easy to cook and fun to peel and eat. And, just like the carton says they would be very suitable as hors d'oeuvres and other kinds of finger foods. And... they probably would be a great treat if they were pickled.
