The star fruit grows on trees that are native to tropical Southeast Asia.

Okay, The name of this fruit is "Star fruit" but that is just the common name. It's official name is "carambola".

Medication note: If you are taking medications you should look this up to be sure you can eat it. Some types of blood pressure medications prohibit the eating of grapefruits or grapefruit juices right! Well there are some similarities here with the star fruit and some type of medication.

It's definitely a peculiar shaped fruit. And it is about the size of a plum.

Will's Review: To me, even though it is called a fruit, it is more of a vegetable. It has the crisp crunch of a bell pepper and it tastes very similar to a bell pepper! Fun shaped fruit though.

Typically it is sliced like this which gives it a wonderfuly starry look.
