This is a really nice project where we make a sword that has a great authentic steel look. And the color scheme with red and silver handle is really terrific. The template for this project is right here This project is part of Hobbit week on my youtube channel. Will has a youtube channel with over 750 videos on projects you can make. Materials Needed:
Print out the template and cut out the various pieces. Make two of each of the large handle pieces (A,B,C and D). The smaller ornament pieces simply cut around them. There are two of each of these in the template (1 thru 5)
Tape together parts A, B and C. They make the body of the sword.
Put that piece onto foamboard and trace two of them.
Cut those pieces out.
Using a hobby knife cut a 45 degree bevel all the way around the blade edges of both sword pieces.
The bevels look great.
