This is a tutorial on how to make Tauriel's Fighting knives from the movie The Hobbit. This is a fun and very easy project. You just need a sheet of foamboard or cardboard, a hot glue gun and some paint. The template for this project is here I also have a video tutorial for this project at the bottom of the page. Will has a youtube channel with over 700 videos on projects you can make. Check it out right here

This is what we make:
Earn a Certificate of Completion! If you make this project email me a picture! I will email you a certificate of completion from stormthecastle.com You can print it up and hang it on the wall.
Materials Needed:
Print up the template. There is only one page. This is an easy and fast project!
There are only three pieces. Cut them out.
Tape those three pieces together to form the sword.
Now let's make four of these. Put that template on foamboard and trace around it. (make four)
To do all the ornamentation on the inside parts of the sword this is what you do. You press down firmly tracing all those lines. This causes an indent in the foamboard.
Now you can remove the template and see the indents you drew. You can go ahead and draw those out with a pencil.
Now let's cut those four swords out of the foam board. Start by cutting out the leaf patterns and don't forget to do the two little triangles. There is also a hole at the very end of the pommel. Cut that out too.
Ok, this picture shows the cut outs and the sword has been cut out of the foam board sheet. Okay, Let's continue with the tutorial
