I had a lot of fun making the Immortals mask and it came out really good. So I thought I would go ahead and do another Immortals project. After all, 300 is one of my favorite movies. So this is a tutorial on how to make the Immortals sword out of foamboard. This project comes with a template that makes it easy for you. The template is right here. The Immortals mask tutorial is right here if you want to check that out. Video Tutorial: There is also a video tutorial on this project at the bottom of this page. |
Can you make this Immortals sword? You sure can! Here is one made by a web visitor (Muhd). It came out great and my thanks go to him for sharing the pic with us.
The things you will need:
Print up the template (3 pages) . Cut out the one handle piece (not the patterned ones, but the blank one) and cut out the two pieces that make up the blade.
Glue those pieces down to cereal box cardboard and cut them all out.
Using the templates you now have tape the pieces together so you have a complete sword.
Trace that blade piece twice onto foam board. And trace the handle piece four times onto the foam board. Then cut these pieces out.
Now take those two blade pieces and glue them together one right over the other one.
Then do the same thing with two of the handle pieces. Glue one right on top of the other one.
Okay! Let's continue on with this tutorial Or you can watch the video tutorial right here:
This Spartan sword is one accessory that you have to have. This is an officially licensed 300 product. The sword is 26 inches in length.
