In this part we go up onto the observation tower and look around.

Here we are up on the tower and we get a look at the falls on the US side. In this first picture you see what is called the American Falls. Tthat is the big falls on the left. And further away you can see another set of falls. Those are the Horseshoe falls.

Let's take a closer look at the American Falls. There is a small section of falls I have pointed out with an arrow. That is called The Bridal Veil Falls. And there is an observation area right near it. You can cross the river and go out to that island called goat island then walk right out to the bridal veil falls.

Now let's look away from the falls (In this next picture the falls are just off picture to the left). We are now looking at the Canadian side of the river. And that big platform down there is one of the spots where the ferry boat leaves from. You can go down there and get on the ferry called the Maid of the Mist.

That ferry we are looking at is on the Canadian side. You don't take that one from here on the American side. There is an identical ferry setup right on our side under the observation tower. You can go down there and take that ferrry.

In this next picture the Maid of the Mist is heading toward the Horseshoe falls.

And in this next picture you can see why it is called the Maid of the Mist. It actually drives right into the mist of the Horse shoe falls.

Before I give you a summary of what you can do let's just take one more look from the observation tower. We are now looking to the right down the river.
