Let's first take a look at the crown jewel area of Washington D.C. It is called The Mall of America and it is a large grassy expanse, much like a park, with lots of places to walk and sit, there are cozy little areas, sculpture gardens, fountains and more.

At one end of it is the Washington Monument. And at the other end is the Capitol. The Mall/Park is all the area in between. And there are multiple Smithsonian Galleries and museums in between.
