This is a companion project to my ship in a bottle project. In that project I put together a kit with a small wooden boat and all the details like the masts and the rope rigging. That project is a lot of fun. But if you want to start out simpler, (yet still a lot of fun) you might want to try making a tiny paper ship and then putting that in a bottle!

This is a terrific project idea and it was submitted to me by a web visitor and project maker Elaine! My thanks go to Elaine for the idea and for the pictures of the paper bottle ship she made!

She also found a terrific little pop up ship to use for this project. It is on Robert Sabuda's website here: Paper Ship . All you have to do is print it at a smaller scale depending on how small you want the boat. For this project Elaine printed the ship at 20% of original size.
