Terrarium Charcoal

Charcoal is a fantastic addition to a terrarium for a couple of different reasons.

First off it is a purifier. As water cycles through the terrarium the carbon will cleanse it.
And this cleansing will help keep the terrarium healthy. It greatly reduces the formation of mold and fungus inside the container.

Charcoal isn't mandatory in a terrarium. But if you are making a completely closed terrarium it is a good idea to add a layer of charcoal.
