This is a tutorial showing you how to make Katarina's Daggers from League of Legends. Fun project and very easy to do. These daggers are sometimes called Katarina's Blades as they are very long for daggers. You don't need a whole lot of supplies for this project. And this can be done with either cardboard or foam board. The template for this project is here I also have a video for this project at the bottom of the page. Will has a youtube channel with over 750 videos on projects you can make. Check it out right here |

Print up the template and cut out parts A, B, and C.
Tape those three pieces (A,B,C) together like this. This is the template for your sword.
Now use that template to trace onto your foam board or cardboard. Make two per sword that you want. Go ahead and cut those sword shapes out.
Will's Tips on Cutting Foam board and using smaller foam board sheets : Don't try to cut all the way through it in one swipe. Use a really sharp blade and make three passes. the first pass just cuts the top layer of paper. Second pass cuts the foam and the third pass cuts through the bottom layer of foam.
Now let's make the bevels on the sword pieces. Put the two sword blades together, one right on top of the other. And mark an X on one of them. And while still holding the two pieces together flip it over and put an X on the other one.
Now cut a bevel all the way around the blade egdges of each piece only on the side that you had marked with an X.
You can also use a beveling tool for this. This tool that I use is made by a company called Foamwerks. I have a link at the bottom of the page.
Ok! Your blade halves have been beveled and they look great. The red line shows you what to bevel. It is the whole blade part and not the handle.
Okay! Let's continue with the tutorial
