In this part of the tutorial we start the actual building of the staff.
Part 1 of this tutorial is here

In the template is a page with the fin guide. There are two pieces. Cut out those two pieces.
When cutting the larger piece. Cut the area shown by the red arrow at the dashed line. This is so you have some spare room to adjust your pieces to fit the size globe you need. All the yellow area is wiggle room for you.
Tape those two template pieces together like this.
Now use that template to trace out four identical pieces.
Now cut out those four pieces.
Will's Tips on Cutting Foam board and using smaller foam board sheets : Don't try to cut all the way through it in one swipe. Use a really sharp blade and make three passes. the first pass just cuts the top layer of paper. Second pass cuts the foam and the third pass cuts through the bottom layer of foam.
Ok, the first piece is cut out. It looks great. Cut all four out.
If your wooden dowel is not the right length go ahead and cut it to the desired length now. I cut mine so it is four feet in length.
Now glue your globe to one end of the wooden staff. I am going with the Insta Morph globe. I used a hot glue gun and a liberal amount of hot glue.
Ok, Let's finish this staff by adding the fins and painting it (continue)
Make the Assassin's Creed Tomahawk This a great project based off of the new Assassin's Creed. Here I show you how to make the Tomahawk wielded by the main character Connor out of a broom handle and some foam board. Make the Assassin's Creed Tomahawk
Make a Mini Crossbow This is a powerful little crossbow that fires straws! Easy to make and whole lot of fun. Make a mini crossbow
