In this part of the tutorial I show you how to roll the cardboard and how to make the rocket.

Now you can easily roll the cardboard sheet into a cylinder. And note the direction of the corrugations. You can't roll with the corrugations going the other way. Put a few pieces of tape on it to hold the shape.
You can also use a cylindrical object as a mold. Wrap that corrugated cardboard around that and tape it in place. In the case of an 11 inch cardboard piece and a 20 ounce bottle of water you will need to trim the cardboard down a little bit. You can also make little holders like this to hold the shape of the cylinder.
Okay, set that cylinder aside to let it dry. Let's make some other parts. Now use the template to measure and cut out four fins.
Next make a cover for the bottom of the rocket. Put the rocket cylinder on cardboard like this and draw a line around it. Then cut out that circle.
Glue it onto the bottom of the rocket.
Now make the nose cone. In the template there is a half circle shape. That is the nose cone. Cut it out and trace it onto the piece of cardboard paper you wet removed. Then cut it out and form it into a cone and glue it.
Let's make the rocket spout. Cut a one inch wide strip of paper and form it into a circle.
You can see that the rocket body has a seam in it. You can optionally cover this seam by cutting a two inch wide strip of paper, applying glue to it then placing it over the seam.
Okay! The rocket is completed. You are good here. But, we can take it to another level by turning it into a pencil holder.
