In this part of the tutorial we turn the rocket into a pencil holder with just a few steps.

Draw a line around the circumference of the rocket. Make it about five inches from the bottom of the rocket. Cut the rocket right in half at this line.

Insert it half way into the bottom of the rocket tube like this and glue it in place. This acts as a collar that will hold the two pieces of the rocket together.

Glue it into the tube like this.

This inserted ring and cylinder cause the pencils and paintbrushes to stand up straight which makes it easier to put the top half of the rocket on.

Okay! Your pencil holder is done. Now you can have some fun painting it! Paint it absolutely any way you want to paint it.
