Make Corvo's Blade from the Game Dishonored

This is a tutorial showing you how to make an easy Corvo's Blade from the game Dishonored. You don't need a whole lot of stuff, just a sheet of foamboard or cardboard and some paint and glue. I give you the template so you can print it up and use it to make your own.

The template is right here: Corvos Blade Template

The completed blade

Can you make this Corvo's Blade. You sure can! This is one made by Vance! My thanks go to him for sending in the picture. If you make this project be sure to send me a pic!!

First, print up the template and cut out all the pieces. There are three pieces that make up the sword blade 1,2, and 3. Tape them together to make the whole blade.

Now, trace all the pieces onto a piece of foamboard. Trace the blade section to make three of them. Then, cut out all the pieces.

Glue the three blades togetherNext, glue together all three of the blade pieces. Any kind of glue will work. For this project I used a glue gun.

Put on the hiltPush the hilt piece (round shape) over the blade and push it up eight inches from the bottom end. Glue it in place.

Glue the large guards onNow, glue the two large guard pieces onto the sword, They ride right over the hilt. Glue these large pieces to the flat sides of the blade.

small guards on the edgesGlue the two smaller guard pieces onto the sword and over the hilt. Glue these smaller pieces to the edges of the sword.

Painting:

Paint itNow it's time to paint! You can have a lot of fun with this and do it any way you like. For this tutorial we painted it like the original Corvo Blade.

  • First, paint the blade, hilt and guards silver.
  • Next, Paint the handle brown.
  • Now, paint some dry brush black onto the edges and nooks and crannies of the hilt and guards. This gives it a nice metal look.
  • Once the brown has dried, paint the yellow decoration on the handle.
  • Use a sharpie or marker to draw the blood groove on the sword. Then paint the inside that area gray.
  • Lastly, use a marker to do any detail work.

You are done! Congratulations on your Corvo Blade. Be sure to send us a pic so we can post it to this page.
