This is a tutorial on how to make the Glass Dagger from Skyrim. It is another in my series of skyrim projects. This one is more challenging because we make a mold and actually cast the blade in epoxy resin (easy cast). . You can download the template right here.

Materials Needed for this Project:
Overview of the Process
Part 1 : Make the Balsa wood Dagger
Print up the template and cut out the parts
Tape together Parts A1 and A2. Also tape together parts B1 and B2.
Trace the blade sections onto balsa wood. Of the A template you trace one out of balsa wood. Of the B template you trace two of them.
You end up with three pieces like this. That top piece is unique. Those two bottom pieces are identical. Glue these three pieces together as a stack one right on top of the other with the A piece in the middle of the stack.
Next use the template to make two of the center rib sections out of balsa wood. It takes a little time, especially for all those center hole cut out sections. If you break it while working on it that is ok. You can glue the center rib onto the dagger in pieces. Do two of these. One on each side of the dagger.
Clothespins work really well for clamping the pieces together while the glue dries.
Now there are six remaining parts to glue to the dagger and our model will be done. This is all handle stuff and there are actually three parts. They go on one side of the handle and an identical three parts go on the other side of the handle.
Here are how the three handle parts go on the handle. 1 is the handle. 2 is the pommel and 3 is the jewel. You do the same thing with three parts on the other side.
Now, if possible, seal it. This will help a lot with the next stage of using it to make a rubber mold.

Make the Glass Sword from Skyrim The glass dagger turned out to be so popular that I had to go ahead and make the sword. Fun project and it comes out great. Actually quite impressive. You don't see projects like this very often! Make the Glass Sword from Skyrim
