Yes! That is absolutely right. This is a tutorial on how to make the famous Wabbajack Staff from Skyrim. It is a crazy staff that does crazy things. And you can have one for yourself!

Fun project and it takes a little bit of work if you want the nice details. But, it doesn't take a lot of materials.

For this project you will need:

• A broomstick, or a rake handle, or a six foot length of dowel. (Something for the staff)
• A piece of foamboard or cardboard
• Paper mache (water + flour)
• Newspaper or paper towels (for dipping into the paper mache)
• Paint
• Newspapers, to crumple and used for shaping the staff and its parts
• Masking tape

An old broomstick or a rake handle or something similar is perfect. The longer the better. Up to six feet in length is great. Go with shorter if you need to. It is a wizards staff so figure the length how you think it should be.

If it is very rough you should sand it down. This is so you don't get splinters when handling it.

Print up the template and cut it out.

Using that template trace the pattern out onto your foam board or cardboard. And cut that piece out.

Here is the cut out shape. Now the two long lines there are not to be cut all the way through. Only cut through the top layer of paper. This is so you can fold it into a wedge shape.

There you go. Nicely folded into a triangle wedge. Looks great. Tape the edges together so it stays.

Now you need to sculpt the face. You should print up several pictures of the wabbjack. This will help you get the face right. You do it by wadding up tape, small bits of paper into shapes. You put these on the template to see if it is about right (like the nose shown in the picture). And then you apply the pieces to the actual staff piece.

Here you go. The nose piece is applied to the wabba! You can also see that the moustache is applied. And remember, this is a three sided thing so you have to make three of everything.

Tip: Using a hot glue gun is absolutely terrific for this.
