In the first part we cut out and made all the various pieces. In this part of the tutorial we make the tatebanko.

Let's start by making the box

Here is a folding tip. To fold the straight lines you can use two straight-edges, one under and one over.

Glue together the five pieces that make up the box.

Now we will install the curved background. But first you can touch up the colors if you want them brighter. There are some empty spaces too so you can add some more things if you want.

Put a little glue on the back of the background on the left and right edges and insert it into the box.

Next glue the four arches onto the base of the box.

Curve the long strip into a circle like this and glue it. There is a dashed line on it to show you where to glue it.

Glue the circle into the box. It sticks out the front about a half an inch.

Finish that assembly by gluing the arches to the ring.

Finish it off by folding the table and installing it into the diorama.

And that's it. Your tatebanko is done.

Gollum Tatebanko
