I made this desk out of five boxes that I bought at Walmart. It's a strong desk and I use it!

One addition you should think about is the top surface. Craft paper or a cutting mat is a good idea. If the top surface of the desk is just plain cardboard it will get pitted and scarred easily. So, you should protect it in some way.

How to easily make a strong desk out of cardboard. I show you step by step how to do it. It uses five large boxes that you can buy at Walmart for about fourteen dollars. You can also piece together various cardboard boxes to make this desk.

Here are a couple of pictures to show you the early stages of making the desk. You can see that it is not a difficult project. You just have to know a few things in order to build it in a way that is nice and strong.

Start with two boxes just like this.

Add the front piece to the desk.

This next picture shows that I have added the top surface. It is two boxes in thickness. That is so the top surface is nice and strong.

The final step is that I added craft paper to that top surface.
