This carnival shoot project is a fancy version of my skee-ball project. Got to tell you though. It is a whole lot of fun to "carnivalize" this project! I jst couldn't resist adding all the colors and even some LED lights to thiis project. It has a carnival feel to it :)

One of the best things you can do is to draw out colored strips and decorations on poster board. Then you cut it all out and glue it to your project.
When painting your project you should consider first priming it with a white paint. It will give you brighter colors. In the next picture you can see the center panel is brighter in color. I first primed the cardboard with white paint, let it dry, then painted it with the same orange as on the left and right. Mod podge is great for sealing a project after it is painted. It dries clear and will not affect the colors much.
Adding five dollars worth of battery Operated LED's is also a fun option. I bought this string of LED's on Amazon and it even comes with the battery, so it is ready to install. You can see the various LED's lit up in this next picture. Notice too in this picture that there is a 25 point hole in the game. This is a backboard added to the skeeball game.
I just popped them through holes in the cardboard and taped it all up in the back. That white object below the hole is the battery pack and switch for the string of LED's.
They have a variety of lengths, colors and battery options too. I went with the really cheap ones that include a battery. Don't ask me how they do it but you can get fairy lights with the battery cheaper than just buying a battery!
