Breadfruit is a peculiar food out of the pacific islands. It is a bit hard to describe but it is kind of like a starchy potato but larger and with a bit of sweetness to it.

This is an almost bizarre fruit with an interesting history that is closely tied in to the development of the terrarium.

Once it has matured and softened it can be eaten raw. But for the most part it is cooked either by barbecue style over a flame or it can be cut into chunks and boiled. That is what I did. I cut it into chunks and boiled it. I will show you pictures.
