Mango

Mangos grow on trees. Yup! Mango trees!

They originate from Bangladesh, northeastern India and Myanmar.

Now they are cultivated a shipped from a variety of countries including India, China, Mexico and Indonesia. And a variant is also cultivated in Florida.

The mango is the national fruit of India and the national tree of Bngladesh.

An interesting things about eating mangos is that you soak one for 3-4 hours before eating it. This is a traditional thing. And according to various websites it removes something called phytic acid. I never heard of this but everybody talks about it. So, let's go ahead and do that. Also, soaking the mango has a strong effect on removing of any pesticides.

A mango is about the size of an apple.

I paid .79 cents for this mango in my local grocery store.

Will's Review: it is a tasty fruit. And it has a firm consistency. Just a little bit firmer than an apple. Although this might change as it ripens. For me the taste is pleasant and mild with hints of a pineapple tartness.
I like the mango.
