How to Make a Foam Board sword part 4

 

In this part of the tutorial I show you some nice techniques for the handle and for adding new layers to the sword. I also show you some details you can do.

And we finish the sword.

Some Things you can do with the handle

 

 

You can paint the handle a color. You can also wrap it with electrical tape or duct tape. Or you can wrap it with cloth or even some leather cord like this.

Lots of things you can do to make the handle look great.

 

 

 

 

 

Adding Details

One of the neat things you can do to make your sword look special is to add extra partial layers of foamboard. You can add just the pommel, more blade, more handle or like you see in the picture here more guard.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Or you can do something like this. Just some edging also looks great.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can also glue on all kinds of interesting things like a jewel.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And have some fun. Be creative with your sword. You can add more jewels like we did on the sword blade. Do it however you like.
