Rough cut out the hammer trigger section and glue it to thin cardboard. Cereal box cardboard is perfect for this. And use glue stick if you have it. It is so much easier.

And only rough cutting it is a good idea because once it is glued to cardboard it is much easier to detail cut it out.

Now you can glue it to the sword.

And that's it! Your gun-sword is done! Load it up and fire it. Have fun and be safe. Never shoot it at another person. A rubber band can damage an eye.
