Make a Knight Helmet out of Craft Foam - Part 3

In this part of the tutorial we make the visor.

Part 1 of this tutorial is here

 

 

Cut out visor template pieces In the template are the two pieces that make up the visor. Cut those along the dashed line on each.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Glue template onto poster board

Glue those two visor pieces to poster board like this with the dashed lines right up against each other.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Trim the visor

Trim that visor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fold on dashed line

Fold that visor right down the center line. We want to put a nice crease in it then flatten it back out.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Glue to craft foam

Now glue that visor to craft foam and cut it out.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cut out visor slots

And cut out those grill slots.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fold visor on crease

Now, with the foam firmly attached crease it down that center line again.

NextOk! Let's finish the helmet
