In this part of the tutorial we put together the sword and do the detail work on the fuller, the pommel and the guard. Part 1 of this tutorial is here
|
Go ahead and cut those two swords out.
Glue them together.
Trim the loose edges so the glued pair looks good with no uneven edges. And sand all the edges so everything is clean and neat.
Now let's cut the fuller (blood groove) so it looks real. Cut the paper on the lines of the fuller.
Then peel the paper away. You don't have to get it all. Just get most of it.
Fold some sand paper then use it to sand out the groove. Do this for the whole length of the fuller.
Now lets detail the guard and pommel. Cut the lines with a sharp knife then run a pencil in those lines to open them up and darken them.
The AleHorn XL horn tankard is one of our most popular items, and you can take your pick of the reasons why: It can perfectly accommodate a whole bottle of beer, it fits comfortably in your hand as you take your honored place amongst your kinsmen around the fire, and its large size and heft show off the beautiful natural colorings of the mighty beast from whence it came. Our horn tankard design was inspired by the Game of Thrones TV series, as well as the rich tradition of the tankard as a staple of pub firesides all around the old country. Belly up, fill your cup, and drink until you don't care who's king.
