This is a tutorial on how to make a quick and easy viking helmet out of duct tape. You don't need much for supplies to make it. |
Cut a strip of cardboard that is two inches wide and shape it into a ring that can comfortably fit around your head like a head band.
Then cut two more strips of cardboard that are two inches wide and attach them to that headband so they form a x across the top like this. Now you have a bowl that will fit on your head.
And notice how one of those strips is longer. This forms the nose piece. And if you have duct tape now wrap the whole helmet with it. If you don't have duct tape you can use silver paint.
Next draw out a pair of horns. Then cut them out.
And glue those horns to the sides of the helmet. I recommend you cut away some of the duct tape so the glued horn will stick to the cardboard underneath. This will hold better.
Add some rivets. I used hot glue. You can also cut out pieces of foam or other material and glue them on if you don't have a glue gun.
Paint the horns black at the base and the horns themselves white.
Add some brown to the horns to make them look like horn.
Finish off the helmet by painting the rivets.
And that's it! Your Viking Helmet is complete.
Make a Viking Shield You can make this with foamboard or cardboard. Either way it comes out graet and is double layered for strength. Made just like they made the real shields.
Make a peach or pineapple fruit mead If you have always wanted to make a fruit mead (melomel) you might want to check this tutorial out. I take you through the whole process from start to finish including bottling. Make a Peach or Pineapple Melomel
