In this part of the tutorial we make the arms of the burial blade. Part 1 of this tutorial is here
|
Ok! The blade is assembled now we need to assemble the arm pieces. Let's think of it as an arm . The blade is the hand, the B pieces are your forearm, and the C pieces are your bicep.
Let's start with the B pieces (upper arm). These pieces kind of look like a "Y". We are quickly going to put this piece together. Don't glue it yet. Just follow my lead and stack it like I do. Once you are sure you have it right then you can glue the pieces together.
Take one of the whole B pieces and place it down. Then place one of the partial pieces on top of it.
Now place the other partial piece right on top.
Now place the fourth piece (full piece) right on top of those three.
The important thing here, if you did it right is that there are gaps in the ends like you see here. There is also a similar gap at the other end of this whole assembly. Perfect! You did it right so go ahead and glue it all together.
Now let's build the other arm. This is the lower arm (forearm) and the parts are labeled "C". There are four pieces to this assembly. Take the two pieces with the round ball at the end like you see here and put them together.
Now place one of the remaining pieces on top of that pair.
Flip the whole assembly of three pieces over and then place the final piece right on top.
You end up with a stack of four that looks like this. If you got it right you can go ahead and glue them.
ok! If you have done these two arm parts right they will fit together like this. Let's continue with the tutorial
