Free Paper Castle (Woodforde Castle)

This is a totally free paper castle in pdf. You download it and print it up. Cut out the pieces and glue it together.

Special thanks to Angela Hayes, She is collaborating on this project and will be writing a Pirate story about this castle. And she is working on a textured version of it (coming).

The castle template is right here (pdf)

Note: I also have a video on this project at the bottom of the page.

My email:

Note: You should print up the packet on card stock or heavy stock paper. I used 90 pound paper to make my castle. That would work well for you. You can print it up and put it together with just normal printer paper but it will be a little bit more of a challenge and a little bit flimsy.

Here are the tools I use to make the castle.

  • Glue Stick
  • 3 in 1 glue (Love this glue)
  • Bone Folder
  • Xacto knife
  • Scissors
  • 18 inch ruler
  • The castle template is right here (pdf)
  • Card Stock paper, 90 pound to 110 pound. These pounds denote thickness of paper. the higher the pound the thicker the paper.

The tools

Cut out the castle pieces

If you don't have any card stock or thicker paper you can load in your printer that is ok. You can print up the packet on regular printer paper then use glue stick to adhere the castle pages to manila file folder or something similar.

Cut out the castle pieces

Then you can cut out the castle pieces. Now you have castle pieces that are nice and sturdy.

The packet

Print up the template. If you have thicker than normal paper load that in your printer before printing. Anything around 90 or 110 pound would be perfect.

Cutting tip

Here is a tip for when you are cutting out the parts. You can get nice straight cuts on the long straight edges if you use a straight edge and a hobby knife.

folding with a straight edge

A ruler or straight edge is also really handy when folding or bending along straight lines.
