I like apoxie sculpt. It acts like a clay while it is soft. It is very shapeable and moldable. And once it has fully cured you can then work it with hand tools like sandpaper, files, drills and more.

Apoxie? Sculpt is used around the world by sculptors, restorers, miniaturists, hobbyists, crafters, repair persons, and students. It is used in museums, schools, motion picture studios, aquariums, and theme parks. Apoxie? Sculpt, is a self-hardening synthetic clay that combines the features and benefits of clay with those of epoxies.

Here is a summary of the instructions that come with it:

• Wear disposable gloves. Mix equal parts of A and B. Always retrieve parts A and B with different tools.
• Mix and knead together for 2 minutes until thoroughly combined and a uniform color is achieved. Incomplete mixing will give poor results. Allow mixed product to rest 5 minutes before handling.
• Working time is 1-3 hours. Shape as desired. Smooth or texture with a wet finger Q tip or tools. Self hardens (NO BAKING REQUIRED) 24 hour full cure to a rock hard, semi gloss finish.
• 24 hour full cure is required for hard finishing purposes such as sanding, carving, drilling, machining etc.
